Uncovering buried jack up legs

A large salvage company hired Javeler to uncover stuck jack up legs that were covered and damaged from a hurricane.  Javeler excavated 50 feet of mud that was burying the jack up legs. The maximum depth achieved for this project was 350 feet deep.  The project was a success.

Mobile Drilling Rig Recovery

One of BP America's mobile drilling rigs had difficulty in moving off location due to the amount of overburden on top of the legs of the rig.  Within 24 hours Javeler mobilized a 10 inch Toyo submersible dredge pump complete with an across the line starter and dredge hose.  Javeler also provided two on site technicians working 24 hours per day to assist in removal of the material and allow for drill rig relocation.

Pipeline Uncovered

Various projects with companies such as American Pacific Marine, CSI, Aquatica and HBH using TOYO submersibles to bury oil and gas pipelines and to locate pipe for repair.   Operating depths up to 170 feet.

Burying a 36' live gas pipeline

A large oil company came to Javeler for assistance in burying a 36 inch live gas pipeline in shallow water in the Gulf of Mexico.  Javeler designed and fabricated a twin dredge pump system to straddle and bury 7,000 feet of pipe - still under pressure.  The job was successfully completed in 2.5 weeks.  A ROV sweep revealed no damage to the pipeline coating.

Dredging in Deep Water - 4700' Deep!

One of our clients was working on a tension leg platform (TLP) drilling rig 150 miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico and came to Javeler looking for a dredging system to remove mud inside of 7' diameter anchor piles in 4700 feet of water.

We modified a standard Toyo hydraulic submersible agitator pump with the addition of accumulators
filled with oil for pressure equalization. Javeler designed and fabricated an independent support structure that was positioned on top of the pile. A hydraulic winch on the structure lowered the pump down 20' inside the pile and excavated the sediment. The slurry was discharged just outside the pile. A hydraulic jet pump, also on the structure, provided flow to the jet ring on the Toyo dredge pump to assist in cleaning the inside of the pile. All equipment was run hydraulically from a ROV.
