Maintenance Dredging for
Baton Rouge Neighborhood
Association

Javeler Construction provided both equipment and personnel necessary to perform maintenance dredging for a neighborhood association. Javeler removed sediment from certain areas of the lake and transported said sediment to a central disposal area within the lake.  The project was a success and both parties were very pleased. The association was a pleasure to work with.

Maintenance Dredging at Ports

The Port of San Luis Harbor District purchased a dredging system from Javeler for their ongoing requirements to dredge out their launch basin and hoist area.   The Port hangs a Toyo DP-50 6 inch pump off a 25-ton P&H truck crane with 80 feet of boom.  The sand is transferred through 100' of floating, flexible 6" hose and 1,100' of 8" SDR 17 HDPE pipe to a disposal site.

Javeler's Dredge System at work in Marine Terminal

Javeler at work dredging silt down to minus 40' in a designated 150' wide channel that is 1800' long.  Spoils are sent approximately 6000' to one of the two approved disposal sites in the area.   Javeler has an on going maintenance dredging contract to ensure the terminal maintains adequate depth along side the dock.

Dredging The Port of Greater Baton Rouge

The Port of Baton Rouge had 1600 feet of dock frontage that required maintenance dredging.  Javeler was awarded the contract and mobilized a simple 10 inch dredging system comprising of a 40 ton crane mounted on a 65' x 35' barge with 60' spuds.  The crane supported a 10" Toyo submersible agitator  pump, which dredged the silt and sand to grade at minus 40'.  A 300 kW generator mounted on the back of the crane provided power to the 150 hp dredge pump.  Material was pumped through 80' of 10 inch floating hose and 500' of 10" HDPE pipe and disposed into the shipping channel of the Mississippi river.  The job was complete in 10 days.

Dock Front Dredging

A facility in Texas had a dock frontage that required dredging without an existing disposal area. Javeler was awarded the contract to dredge the dock frontage, design and build a levee disposal area.    The dock frontage needed to generate adequate floatation for ship access.  The job was a success and all parties were happy.
